Hi from Jan T
Hello guys
We are packing our house up, ready to start travelling up and down the east coast of Australia, and more...

We've bought a Winnebago Eyre, and I'm going to journal in an altered book.

I have been making, designing, writing about and teaching quilts for thirty odd years, but can't take my studio in the Winnebago, so back to something I have dabbled in in the past, although not with art and fancy lettering.

Looking forward to sharing with all of you.

Jan T and Bob (and Samantha and Daisy - who are our Australian mini foxies)

Howdy from Texas
As you can tell from the title, I am from Texas, born and raised. I am new to drawing and journaling, but quite excited about this site and getting started. I have already found some valuable information on here. Can't wait to get started on my Travel Journal. =)

In 2010, we went on a 2 week Transatlantic cruise and my Sister-in-law and I took a watercolor class. We did a picture of a Bird of Paradise. Which was really funny because we took pictures of some later in the trip. The class was a lot of fun.

Thank you to everyone for all the great tips and suggestions and your pictures are awesome of your journals. I just hope mine turn out half as good as yours did.

Hello, I'm Theresa and I live most of the year in Tucson, AZ. We also have a home in Colorado Springs, CO. To be able to travel is my favorite past time. My father was in the US Army and we moved often. When I got married, my husband was in the US Air Force. In 26 years of marriage, we've lived in 8 states and in the Netherlands. When we aren't flying off to some destination, we own a fully restored 1959 Airstream trailer that we take on road trips as often as we can.

I've kept journals as long as I can remember. Anything and every thing go into them. My favorite journals are those I created while on a trip somewhere. Whether it's to Europe or somewhere close by, I always carry a journal. I love how opening up one of my completed journals instantly transports me back to the day and time I made a particular entry or did a sketch.

I seldom put photographs in my journals, being content with a sketch and a description. I really enjoy being able to see other travel journals and consider it a privilege to be able to peek into another journalist's life.

I found this group via artist/author Danny Gregory's website. I'm excited to be a member and hope to be able to contribute something positive to the forum.
